Phlix started as a personal project. Someone wanted to run their media server their way — no subscription, no cloud dependency, no ads, no tracking. Just a fast, reliable piece of software that did one thing: play media from a server to any screen, anywhere.
Storm Chaser is the identity that grew from that idea. Wild weather. Intense energy. The storm grows with your library because that's exactly what happens — more content means more to manage, more to discover, more chaos to channel into something powerful.

Yes. The server software is open source under the MPL-2.0 license. No paywalls, no "pro" features locked behind a subscription. Run it forever on your own hardware.
Hub uses a peer-to-peer relay architecture. Free public relay nodes are hosted by the community and the Phlix team. You can also run your own relay server on any VPS for full control.
Yes. There's a built-in Plex metadata import tool, and community plugins exist for Jellyfin migration. Your files stay in place — Phlix just reads and organizes them.
For direct play (no transcoding), any device that supports your media format works. For 4K HDR transcoding, we recommend a modern Intel CPU with Quick Sync, an NVIDIA GPU with NVENC, or an AMD GPU with VCE. 6+ cores and 8GB RAM minimum.
